I am no longer at the AIfA, so the whisky duties have passed to one of my colleagues there. Please enjoy a wee dram for me!
With all the new faces in the AIfA in 2014, we shall be introducing new social events, starting with monthly whisky tastings. If you want to be kept up to date, please join the life ... astro.uni-bonn.de email list.
Please note that you are expected to cover the cost of your whisky - it is not free, but also no profit is made by anyone. Prices (per cl) are included in the tasting notes below. Rob has plenty of tumbler-style glasses, but if you want something better (e.g. tulip shaped) please feel free to bring your own. Rob will provide measures (up to 4cl). You should keep a note of how much and what you drink so he does not have to chase you for money with his cricket bat. See the instructions here. The AIfA water cooler offers chilled and filtered water. We do not offer ice or other solvents.
Wednesday 8th October at 7pm, AIfA first floor whisky-coffee room.
The whisky tastings return after a summer break. What better way to instil some spirit in you before the winter kicks in?
